How to Screen Shot on Mac

A lot of people are looking for information on "how to screen shot," so here is a quick guide. On your Mac, you can capture the entire window or just part of it

To take a screenshot, press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 3.  

If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen , click it on to start the editing the screenshot.

How to capture a portion of the screen

• Press and hold these three keys together: Shift, Command, and 4.

• drag the cross to select the area that you want to capture,To move the selection, hold the Space bar while moving the mouse , if you want to cancel the screenshot just press the Esc (Escape) key
• To take the screenshot, simply release your mouse.
• If you see a thumbnail in the corner of your screen, click on it to start the editing process. Or you can wait for the screensot to be saved on you desktop

Where to find screenshots

To find your saved screenshots, by default they are saved to your desktop with the name of the ScreenShot date and time . You can change the location of where you save them in macOS Mojave or later from within the Screenshot app's options menu. Besides that, drag a thumbnail to a folder or document instead of viewing it on screen if desired.
